The Core Services program is designed to provide supportive services to help individuals, who are experiencing major difficulties as a result of having a mental health and substance abuse problem, to achieve and maintain sufficient stabilization to remain functional in the the community. The services are staffed by nurses, psychiatrists, physician assistants, counselors, and support staff. One of the main missions of Core Services is to provide transitional services to clients in other programs of the Mental Health Center of Dane County.

Core services provides the following services to both adults and children and their families:

• medication evaluations
• ongoing medications services
• medication consultation
• case management
• limited supportive counseling
• referral

The types and levels of services available to each consumer will be determined by the needs of the client and available resources.

Office Hours - Monday, Tuesday, Thursday 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday and Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
