A
Clubhouse is a psychiatric rehabilitation program that is based upon the
restorative value of work, education, recreation, housing and satisfying
relationships for adults who have experienced mental illness.
The Wisconsin Clubhouse Coalition ( WCC ) seeks to strengthen existing clubhouses and to establish clubhouse communities where the resources for recovery do not yet exist. |

WCC
Provides . . .
information, training and technical assistance to people who are starting or strengthening a clubhouse community. WCC Educates . . . administrators, legislators, advocacy groups, consumer groups, providers, and others about the clubhouse way of working and provides documentation of its effectiveness in promoting recovery for individuals with mental illness. WCC Advocates . . . for legislation and adequate funding to improve treatment and rehabilitation for adults who have experienced mental illness. WCC Guarantees . . . the integrity of service delivery of WCC member clubhouses via certification by the International Center for ClubhouseDevelopment. (ICCD) |
